How Do I Set Up Voicemail on the Kids Phone Plan?

Turn on voicemail, set a greeting, and choose where messages are sent, all from your Voiply portal.

Set up voicemail so callers can leave a message when your child cannot answer. This guide walks you through each part of the Manage Voicemail screen.

How to Log In to Your Voiply Portal

  1. Go to voiply.com and click Login.
  2. Enter your 10-digit Voiply phone number, then click Continue.
  3. Check the masked email shown on the screen. Voiply will send a secure Magic Link to that email address.
  4. Open the email from Voiply with the subject Use this link to sign in, then click the Sign in link button. You will be logged in automatically.

How to Open the Manage Voicemail Screen

  1. Once you are logged in, scroll down to the Quick Actions section.
  2. Click the Voicemail tile (Configure greetings & messages) to open the Manage Voicemail screen.

Turn Voicemail On or Off

At the top of the screen, use the Enable Voicemail toggle.

  • Toggle it on so callers can leave a message.
  • Toggle it off if you do not want voicemail on the line.

Choose How Long the Phone Rings

Under Send calls to Voicemail after, choose how long the phone rings before the call goes to voicemail.

  1. Click the dropdown (for example, ~3 rings (18s)).
  2. Select the option you want.

Set Up Your Greeting

Your greeting is the message callers hear before they leave a voicemail. The current greeting is shown under Voicemail Greeting, and you can tap the play button to hear it.

To update the greeting, choose one of two ways: Generate with AI or Upload Audio.

Option 1: Generate with AI

  1. Click the Generate with AI tab.
  2. Choose a Voice from the dropdown (for example, Rachel (Female)).
  3. In the Enter your own Greeting Text box, type the greeting you want callers to hear. You can use up to 500 characters.
  4. Click Play to hear how it sounds. You need to click Play before you can apply the greeting.
  5. When you are happy with it, click Update Greeting to apply it.

Option 2: Upload Audio

  1. Click the Upload Audio tab.
  2. Under Audio File, click Choose file... and select an MP3 or WAV file (max 10 MB). It will be converted to the correct format automatically.
  3. Click Update Greeting to apply it.

Note: The Update Greeting button only applies your greeting. Your other settings, like the email address and PIN, are saved separately with the Save button at the bottom.

Set the Email Address for Voicemails

Under Email Address, enter the email where you want to receive voicemail messages. This is already filled in with your account email, so you only need to change it if you want voicemails sent somewhere else.

Set Your Voicemail PIN

Under Voicemail PIN, enter a 4-digit PIN. You will use this PIN to check messages through the voicemail center, by dialing in from the phone. Tap the eye icon to show or hide the PIN as you type.

Save Your Settings

When you are done, click the Save button at the bottom to apply your settings.

 

Remember: if you changed your greeting, make sure you also clicked Update Greeting so the new greeting is applied.

A Few Things to Remember

  • Voicemail must be turned on for callers to leave a message.
  • The Update Greeting button applies only your greeting. The Save button applies your other settings.
  • On the Generate with AI path, click Play first, then Update Greeting.
  • Voicemails are sent to the email address shown in the Email Address field.
