Welcome to the Voiply Kids Phone Plan! Your kit comes with the Modern Phone, a cordless WiFi phone with a color screen and a rechargeable battery. There is no adapter to plug in. The phone is already set up for your Voiply service, so once you charge it and connect it to your home WiFi, it is ready to go. Just follow the steps below. 
What's in the Box

Set Up Your Phone
- Insert the battery. Open the cover on the back of the phone, place the battery inside, then close the cover.
- Charge the phone. Set the phone on the charger base, then plug the Type-C power adapter into the base and into a power outlet. Let it charge fully before the first use.
- Turn on the phone. Press and hold the Power key until the screen lights up.
- Connect to WiFi. Press the Menu key, then go to Settings, then Wi-Fi Settings. Turn Wi-Fi on, then open Wi-Fi Network. Choose your home WiFi from the list and enter your WiFi password. A Wi-Fi icon will appear at the top of the screen once it connects.
- You are ready to go. Your phone is already set up for your Voiply service, so once it connects to WiFi it is ready to make and receive calls.
Using Your Phone
Once the Wi-Fi icon shows at the top of the screen, your phone is ready to use.
- To make a call: Enter the number on the keypad, then press the Dial key.
- To answer a call: Press the Dial key when the phone rings.
- To end a call: Press the Hang Up key.
- To use the speakerphone: Press the Speaker key during a call.
- To mute a call: Press the Mute key so the other person cannot hear you. Press it again to turn mute off.
- To adjust the volume: Use the volume keys on the side of the phone.
Tip: Make a test call to a trusted number to be sure everything is working.
Good to know: Your phone needs to be charged and connected to WiFi in order to make and receive calls, including 911.
Important Safety Information
- Read these instructions before using the phone.
- Use only the power adapter that came with the phone.
- Do not use the phone near water, such as near a sink, bathtub, or pool.
- Do not try to open, take apart, or modify the phone.
- The phone has a rechargeable battery. Do not puncture, crush, or burn it. If the battery is damaged or swollen, stop using it and contact Voiply Support.
- Avoid using the phone during a thunderstorm.
- Keep the phone away from very high or very low temperatures.
Caring for Your Phone
- Charge the phone regularly so it is ready whenever your child needs it.
- Clean the phone with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use liquid or spray cleaners.
- Keep the phone away from water and extreme heat.
Troubleshooting
The phone will not turn on
- Make sure the battery is inserted and the phone has been charged. Place it on the charger base for a while, then try turning it on again.
No service, or you cannot make calls
- Check that the Wi-Fi icon appears at the top of the screen. If it does not, press the Menu key, go to Settings, then Wi-Fi Settings, and reconnect to your home network.
- Make sure your home WiFi and internet are working.
Calls drop or sound choppy
- Move closer to your WiFi router. The phone works best with a strong WiFi signal.
What's Next
Now that your phone is connected, you can personalize it from your Voiply portal. Visit the Kids Phone Service section to set up allowed contacts, voicemail, and emergency services (E911).
