What is Voiply and how does it work?
Voiply is a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone service that uses your internet connection to make and receive calls. Unlike traditional landlines or cellular service, Voiply does not use phone lines or cell towers. As long as you have internet, you can place and receive calls with excellent quality.
No internet? Let us know. Voiply also offers internet service in select areas.


How much does Voiply cost and what plans are available?
Voiply offers affordable plans for both residential and business users.

Can I keep my current phone number?
Yes. You can transfer your existing number from most providers through a process called number porting. Voiply handles the process for you.
Porting typically takes 7–10 business days.


What equipment do I need?
Voiply provides a free phone adapter for residential service. You can connect your existing home phone to the adapter using your current internet connection. No new router is required.


How long does it take to receive the adapter?
Orders typically arrive within 7 days. Orders placed over the weekend ship the following Monday.

Is Voiply reliable? What if the internet goes down?
Voiply is designed for reliability and call quality. If your internet goes down, you can enable call forwarding to a backup number, like a cell phone, so you don’t miss calls.


How is call quality?
As long as you have a stable internet connection, call quality is clear and consistent. Voiply uses advanced technology to reduce latency and audio issues.


Is Voiply secure?
Yes. Voiply uses secure protocols and encryption to protect your calls and personal information.

How do I get a local or toll-free number?
You can choose a local or toll-free number during checkout on voiply.com.
Toll-free numbers are available on business plans only.


Is Voiply available in Canada?
Yes. Voiply service is available in the United States and Canada.


Are there taxes or additional fees?
Yes. Taxes and regulatory fees apply based on your location. The exact amount depends on local, state, and federal requirements.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

My phone says “Not Registered” or isn’t working.

  • Check all cables and confirm your internet is working

  • Restart the adapter and wait 5 minutes

  • Make sure all adapter lights are solid blue

  • Disable SIP ALG on your router if needed


I can’t receive incoming calls.

My phone rings but there’s no audio.
This is often caused by SIP ALG. Disable it using this guide:

My phone doesn’t ring at all.
Check volume, Do Not Disturb, call forwarding settings, internet connection, and device registration. Restart the adapter and disable SIP ALG if enabled.


I can’t make international calls.

What adapter does Voiply use?
Voiply uses the Grandstream HT801 adapter.


Can I use Voiply with a fax machine?
Faxing over VoIP is not recommended due to reliability issues. While it may work in some cases, we recommend a traditional landline or online fax service for best results.

How do I return a device?

Does Voiply use cellular towers?
No. Voiply operates entirely over the internet and does not rely on cellular towers.


Can my name appear on outgoing calls?
Yes. Voiply supports Caller ID Name (CNAM), though display depends on the receiving carrier.
