Premier - Managing Phone Numbers in Your Portal

Welcome to the Numbers tab in your Voiply portal! This is where you manage your phone numbers, set up call routing, and submit port requests.

Accessing the Numbers Tab

From the top navigation bar, click Numbers. You'll see two sections on this page: Phone Numbers and Port Requests.

Phone Numbers

The Phone Numbers section lists all the numbers on your account. Each number displays its label, status, and available actions.

Setting Up Call Routing

Click on any phone number to open its routing settings. From here you can configure how incoming calls to that number are handled.

Schedule-Based Routing

Toggle Schedule-Based Routing on if you want calls routed differently during and outside your business hours. When enabled, you'll configure two separate routing destinations:

  • During Business Hours — choose where calls go when your team is available
  • Outside Business Hours — choose a fallback destination, such as voicemail

Select a schedule from the dropdown, then set the Route to and Destination for each time window.

If you leave Schedule-Based Routing off, all calls follow a single routing rule regardless of time.

Call Routing Options

Use the Routing Type dropdown to choose how calls are directed. Your options are:

  • Route to User — sends the call directly to a specific team member
  • Route to Ring Group — rings multiple users at once
  • Route to Auto-Attendant — plays a menu for callers to choose from
  • Route to Voicemail — sends calls straight to a voicemail box
  • Route to External Number — forwards calls to a number outside your account
  • Available (Unassigned) — leaves the number unassigned
  • Hangup — ends the call automatically

After selecting a routing type, choose the appropriate Destination from the second dropdown (for example, a specific user or ring group).

You can also add a Description / Label to help identify what this number is used for internally.

When you're done, click Save Routing in the top right corner.

Port Requests

The Port Requests section is where you can bring an existing phone number from another carrier over to Voiply. If you have no active requests, you'll see a + New Port Request button to get started.

For step-by-step instructions on submitting a port request, see: How to Submit a Port Request Through the Portal
