How to Get Your Porting Information from AT&T
If you're transferring your wireless number from AT&T to another service provider, you’ll need a few key pieces of information: your account number, your Number Transfer PIN, and a recent copy of your AT&T wireless bill. This guide walks you through how to get everything you need.
1. How to Find Your AT&T Account Number
You can find your AT&T wireless account number online or on your paper bill.
Find it online
-
Go to att.com and sign in to your myAT&T Profile.
-
Scroll to My linked accounts.
You'll see the account number listed for each wireless service on your account.
Find it on a paper bill
• Look in the top-right corner of any page of your AT&T wireless bill.
• It will be labeled Account Number.
AT&T Prepaid
Prepaid customers won’t see an account number online or on any bill.
• Contact AT&T Prepaid support to request it.
2. How to Get Your AT&T Number Transfer PIN
AT&T requires a Number Transfer PIN to move your number to another carrier. This PIN protects your number from unauthorized transfers.
What to know
• Request the PIN right before starting your port request.
• The PIN applies to all numbers on the account being transferred.
• PIN expiration:
-
Consumer: 4 days
-
Business: 14 days
• Wireless Account Lock must be turned off to port your number.
• If your account is suspended, you can request a PIN only online or in the myAT&T app.
• Keep your AT&T service active until the transfer is complete.
