Voiply Mobile App (Android) - Use Do Not Disturb (DND)

The Do Not Disturb (DND) feature in the Voiply Mobile App allows you to control when you receive incoming calls. Whether you're in a meeting, driving, or resting, DND helps you stay focused without missing important calls — thanks to voicemail notifications.

🔍 What is DND?

DND (Do Not Disturb) disables call alerts temporarily. When it is turned on:

  • Calls go directly to voicemail instead of ringing.

  • Sound notifications for new messages are silenced.

  • Voicemails still get delivered, and you'll be notified.

This ensures you stay undisturbed while still capturing missed call information.

🧭 Where to Find the DND Option

  1. Open the Voiply Mobile App.

  2. Tap the Account Tab (👤 icon) at the top menu — located next to the dialer grid.

    • You’ll see your account information.

     

✅ How to Enable DND

  1. Tap the Account Tab as described above.

  2. In the Account Detail popup, locate the Immediate DND toggle.

  3. Tap the toggle to turn it ON. It will turn green, indicating that DND is now active.

  4. You will also see a “DND” label appear in red under your account name to confirm it’s enabled.

❌ How to Disable DND

To start receiving calls again:

  1. Tap the Account Tab.

  2. Toggle the Immediate DND switch OFF (it will turn gray).

  3. The “DND” red label will disappear, indicating normal call behavior is restored.

🔔 What Happens When DND is On?

  • All incoming calls go to voicemail — they won’t ring your phone.

  • You will receive a notification about new voicemail messages.

  • The voicemail icon will appear in the keypad section of the app with a red badge if there’s a new message.

  • Tapping the red voicemail icon will automatically dial your voicemail center, allowing you to listen to messages.

📥 Voicemail Notifications

When a caller leaves a voicemail while DND is enabled:

  • A notification appears on your lock screen or notification bar, showing the number of new messages.

You won’t miss anything important, even while you’re unavailable.

⚙️ Option 2: Set Up Advanced DND Rules

Use this method for scheduled or filtered DND behavior.

Step-by-Step: Creating a DND Rule

  1. Tap the ⚙️ Settings icon.

  2. Select Preferences.

  3. Tap Do Not Disturb.

  4. Tap the ➕ button to add a rule.

  5. In the rule editor:

    • Enable the rule by toggling Enabled ON.

    • Set Time Interval or leave as “All Day”.

    • Select specific weekdays the rule should apply.

    • Toggle Unknown Contacts to block unknown numbers.

    • Under Contacts, tap "Add new" and choose:

      • From Contacts

      • Enter Number

  6. Add a comment to describe the rule (e.g., “spam” or “meeting hours”).

  7. Tap Add (top right) to save the DND rule.

     

📋 View and Manage DND Rules

Once saved:

  • The rule appears in your DND list with:

    • Time range

    • Contact type

    • Comment label

🗑️ To Delete a DND Rule:

  1. Tap the checkbox next to the rule.

  2. Tap the 🗑️ trash icon at the top right.

     

📝 Tips

  • You can add multiple rules for different use cases.

  • Use the comment field to identify each rule easily.

  • You can disable a rule temporarily without deleting it.
