[The Essentials](https://kb.voiply.com/business-phone-service#the-essentials) # Voiply Desktop App - How to Make and Receive Calls ## The Voiply Desktop App gives you the power to make and receive VoIP calls directly from your computer with an intuitive interface and essential calling features. #### 🔢 Making a Call 1. **Open the Voiply Desktop App.** Launch the app and navigate to the **Keypad** section from the left menu. ![](https://kb.voiply.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-May-26-2026-09-03-43-3055-PM.png?width=672&height=1021&name=image-png-May-26-2026-09-03-43-3055-PM.png) 2. **Enter the number.** Use the on-screen dial pad or type the number directly in the “Phone Number…” field.
