How To Use Your Answering Machine for Voiply Online Residential

If you prefer to use the answering machine on your home phone instead of Voiply’s voicemail, you can adjust your voicemail settings in the Residential Portal. This guide will show you exactly where to go in the new interface and how to make the changes.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Log in to your Residential Portal

Go to your portal and sign in with your account email and password.


2. Open the Voicemail Settings

On the main dashboard, look for Quick Actions.

Select Configure Voicemail

 

3. Disable Voiply Voicemail

In the Manage Voicemail panel:

• Find Enable Voicemail
• Toggle the switch off
• Select Save

This turns off Voiply’s voicemail so your home phone’s own answering machine can pick up instead.

 

Important Notes

• Voiply voicemail cannot be fully removed from the system.
• If your answering machine does not pick up within 120 seconds, the call will roll over to Voiply voicemail.
• Any voicemail sent to Voiply will still go to the email address listed in your voicemail settings.

Once voicemail is disabled, your home phone’s answering machine will handle your messages as long as it picks up before the 120-second Voiply fallback.
