How to Get Your Porting Information from T-Mobile

If you're transferring your number from T-Mobile to another service provider, you’ll need your account number, a Temporary Port Out PIN (TPOP), and a recent T-Mobile bill. T-Mobile also requires that Port Out Protection is turned off before your number can be moved. This guide walks you through everything you need.

1. How to Find Your T-Mobile Account Number

Your T-Mobile account number appears in your online account or the T-Mobile app.

Find it online

  1. Sign in at my.t-mobile.com

  2. Go to Profile

  3. Select Account Information

  4. You’ll see your Account Number listed there

Find it in the T-Mobile app

  1. Open the T-Mobile app

  2. Tap Account

  3. Select Profile Settings

  4. Your account number will be displayed

Prepaid customers

Account numbers do not appear online for prepaid lines.
• Contact T-Mobile Prepaid Support to request it.

2. How to Generate Your T-Mobile Temporary Port Out PIN (TPOP)

T-Mobile uses a Temporary Port Out PIN (TPOP) instead of a standard Transfer PIN.
You must provide this PIN to your new provider to complete the transfer.

Before generating your PIN

• Only the Primary Account Holder can generate the TPOP
Port Out Protection must be disabled for the line
• You must generate the TPOP while using the T-Mobile network (not Wi-Fi)
• Turn off any VPN or private relay services (such as iCloud Private Relay)

What you’ll need for the transfer

• Your T-Mobile account number
• The Temporary Port Out PIN
