How to Edit Your Voicemail Greeting for Residential Service

You can update your voicemail greeting and settings directly from your Residential Portal. This guide walks you through how to change your greeting, choose how many rings before voicemail, and preview your recording before saving.

  1. Step 1: Log In to Your Residential Portal

    1. Visit the Voiply Residential Portal.

    2. Enter your number.

    3. Sign in using your email and password.

    You will land on your Dashboard.


    Step 2: Open Your Voicemail Settings

    1. Scroll down to Quick Actions.

    2. Select Configure Voicemail.

    This will open the Manage Voicemail menu.


    Step 3: Adjust Your Voicemail Settings

    Inside Manage Voicemail, you can:

    Enable or Disable Voicemail

    Use the toggle at the top.

    Choose the Number of Rings

    Open the dropdown next to Send calls to Voicemail after and choose between 2 to 10 rings.


    Step 4: Update Your Voicemail Greeting

    1. In the Greeting Message section, click Change.

    2. Choose how you want to record your greeting:

    Option 1: Text to Speech

    • Select Text to speech.

    • Choose a voice from the dropdown.

    • Type your message.

    • Click Convert to create the recording.

    Option 2: Upload a Recording

    • Select Upload a file.

    • Upload a .wav or .mp3 file from your device.


    Step 5: Preview Your Greeting Before Saving

    Once the greeting is created or uploaded, a playback bar will appear.

    • Click Play to listen to your message.

    • Review the greeting to make sure it sounds the way you want.

    • If needed, click Change again to upload or create a new version.

    This helps you confirm everything is correct before saving.


    Step 6: Save Your Voicemail Settings

    After reviewing your greeting, click Save in the top right corner.

    Your new greeting is now active. All voicemails will continue to be sent to the email address listed in the Email Address field.
