Installing the Applications
To start we will need to install the Mobile or Desktop Apps, they can be found in these two areas.
1. Dashboard
2. Under "Download Voiply for any device" choose which device you are going to install the application.
3. Click on Configure Apps and select for which device you are registering your extension as shown below:
Registering the Applications
- Mobile - Open the application and click on SCAN QR CODE and then scan the QR code that is displayed on Step 3.
- Desktop App - Open the desktop application after installing. Once you see where it ask you to login for user and password, click the Configure for desktop under Step 3 and it will register your extension.
Note: When doing via the dashboard, this will configure your current user login. So for example if you are logged in as Extension 101, this will configure your extension 101 on the softphone apps.
Register a different user
If you are looking to register a different user/extension on your softphone application, it will need to be done under Users
1. Go to the Users page by clicking on the Users Tab.
From here you can install which app you are going to use, either for Desktop, Mobile or both.
2. Once installed, select which user you are going to configure the app and click on its gear icon.
In this example, we are going to register extension 102
From here, choose which option you are going to install the device for
- Mobile - Open the application and click on SCAN QR CODE and then scan the QR code that is displayed on user settings.
- Desktop App - Open the desktop application after installing. Once you see where it ask you to login for user and password, click the Configure for desktop under user settings and it will register its extension.
